Daniel 6:26 I (Darius) make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. NKJV “He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.” Daniel 6:27-28 NKJV “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
Daniel 9:4 And I (Daniel) prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,” NKJV “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I (Jesus) will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever…“ John 14:15-16 NKJV “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 NKJV
Deuteronomy 32:1 Give ear, O heavens, and I (Moses) will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. NKJV “Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass. For I proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:2-4 NKJV “He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.” Deuteronomy 32:10 NKJV
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” NIV “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous-and how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion! You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!” Psalms 139:13-16 TLB “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 NKJV
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;” NKJV “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:17 NKJV “But Christ has bought us out from under the doom of that impossible system by taking the curse for our wrongdoing upon himself. For it is written in the Scripture, ‘Anyone who is hanged on a tree is cursed’ (Deuteronomy 21:23) [as Jesus was hung upon a wooden cross].” Galatians 3:13 TLB
Just met this wonderful pastor a few months ago. I was looking forward to what God was going to do in the valley through his ministry at Merlin Baptist Community...was hard to hear this news. James 1:27 says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." This is a practical way we can do this.
Isaiah 40:1 “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God. NKJV “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.’ The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;’” Isaiah 40:2-4 NKJV “The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken." Isaiah 40:5 NKJV
Proverbs 31:10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. NIV “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.’” Proverbs 31:25-29 NIV “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30 NIV
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.” NKJV “So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.” Genesis 12:4 NKJV “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” Hebrews 11:8 NKJV
John 1:6-7 There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. NIV “I (Jesus) do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;” John 17:20 NKJV “They overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Revelation 12:11 NIV
